Join The Team
Some would call us a club, but we prefer ‘team’ as we believe it fosters a better space for accountability and camaraderie among one another. Our purpose is to support you and help you reach your own goals while having fun along the way.
We meet up officially once a week for practice led by our coaches (as well as casually during other times), sign up for races as a team, and throw pasta parties, but don’t worry nothing is mandatory!
Anyone can join at any time – simply show up to a practice or reach out below with any questions you may have!
Practices
SUNDAYS: 8am @ McAlpine Park
8711 Monroe Rd – At the pavilion across from the pond
We rotate between 0-6 mile routes, lively speed workouts, & fun runs designed to meet each runner at their ability level. We also have an optional longer distance run about once a month.
We have route maps available, but please don’t hesitate to ask questions if you are unsure where to go. Each practice opens and closes with guided stretches and announcements, so make sure to be on time to warm up properly for your run.
Afterward, the team usually heads to breakfast. Practice is over by 9:30am, so feel free to leave right at the end or join us after to socialize.
First Timers:
We accept new members all year round. All you have to do is show up to a practice!
We assign a buddy to every newcomer for their first practice. They’ll show you the ropes, teach you the stretches, explain the routes, run with you, and get you all set up on our Discord Server so we can keep you in the loop.
What if I’ve never run before?
No worries! We love welcoming people to our community and showing them all that the sport of running can be. All we ask is that you bring a positive attitude and come ready to learn. We are excited to have you!
I’m not sure where to run? How far should I go?
For beginner runners, we recommend starting easy; there is no need to push yourself on your first day! Talk to Coach Storm for help planning your run; our runners typically run 0-6 miles.
